Having studied and worked in a variety of fields within the art and design industry over the last 20 years I went onto expand my knowledge base further by returning to university whilst my family were still young. I went onto gain a First Class Honours Art and Design Degree specialising in painting and as a result have been combining (….or should that be juggling!) my time as a mother, artist, tutor and PaintyParty organiser ever since! My personal motivation behind the PaintyParty concept includes my desire to combine an enjoyable, affordable party experience with children being encouraged to explore their creativity in a supportive and tutored environment. Having 3 children myself I understand the quest to source an individual, fun and memorable birthday treat. The PaintyParty concept was established early in 2006 when I decided to combine my current occupation of designing and conducting art programmes for children and adults with my professional practice of working as an artist and tutor.
